New payment practices related to the unpaid fines and road user charge in Turkey

The Turkish Ministry of Trade has announced the following new practices which will enter into force as of 15 March, 2022:

- All unpaid fines and road user/bridge charges will be paid via POS devices (Point Of  Sales terminal/payment terminal) at all border crossing points.

- Vehicles will not be allowed to cross the border without paying unpaid fines and road user/bridge charges.

It concerns all types of road fines and road user/bridge charges.
