Note verbale of the Republic of Azerbaijan for insurance contracts of motor vehicles registered in foreign states and engaged in international road freight transportation

From 1 October 2025, the issuance of insurance contracts at border check points for motor vehicles registered in foreign states and engaged in international road freight transportation into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been discontinued

In this regard, carriers who do not present a valid "Green Card" international insurance contract are required to conclude a border insurance contract solely in advance, either via the online platform www.tpl.az or through insurance companies duly operating within the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
