Temporary traffic regulations in the Tempi Valley, for the execution of maintenance work on rock protection measures

Temporary traffic regulations with a total closure of all vehicles in the Tempi Valley (part of the Evangelismos Leptokaria Highway), from the Ampelakia Interchange to the Omoli Interchange, for Monday, November 25, 2024 from 07:00 to 19:00 and on Tuesday, November 26, from 07:00 to 19:00, will be implemented in order to carry out regular six-monthly inspection and maintenance work on rock protection measures (rock removal, cleaning of rock traps, etc.).

The traffic regulations for the closure of the Tempi Valley at both the Ampelakia Interchange and the Omoli Interchange will be implemented in accordance with Plan 2.1.2. (Bypass) of Annex C of the OMOE SEEO – Government Gazette 905/20.05.2011 for long-term construction sites of intercity roads, at the two following closure points.

Ambelakia Interchange on the Evangelismos – Leptokarias P.E. Road in the direction of Thessaloniki-Leptokaria.

Omoli Interchange on the Evangelismos – Leptokarias P.E. Road in the direction of Athens.

The closed traffic will be served via the section of the motorway from the Evangelismos I/C (X.Th. 377+176) to the Rapsanis I/C (X.Th. 391+108), which includes the Tempi Tunnels T1 and T2.
