Information about restrictions for heavy goods traffic in Tyrol on Wednesday, 02 June 2021
DRIVING RESTRICTIONS27 May 2021
Please be informed that the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) has issued a driving ban for Wednesday 02 June 2021 in the period from 09:00 to 22:00 (destination Italy) for trucks and articulated vehicles with a maximum gross weight of more than 7.5 tons and trucks with trailers, where the sum of the maximum gross weights of both vehicles exceeds 7.5 tons.
The ban applies on Wednesday (02 June 2021) for journeys with the destination in Italy or to be reached via Italy on the following routes:
Reason for issuing the special driving ban: Truck driving ban in Italy because of holiday.
Truck drivers are advised to avoid the Inntal-Brenner route as far as possible or to approach adequate parking areas before entering Austria and to wait there for the existing prohibitions. It is pointed out that trucks not covered by the exemption will be prevented from entering Austria and must turn back.
