Summer Driving bans in Austria
DRIVING RESTRICTIONS02 July 2021
Please note that document on Additional Driving bans in Austria has been published. Please see below an overview of the new regulations.
It applies for trucks over 7,5 t applies for the period:
- on all Saturdays from 3 July 2021 up to and including 28 August 2021 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. if the destination of the journey is in Italy or in a country to be reached via Italy and on all Saturdays from 3 July 2021 up to and including 28 August 2021 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. if the destination of the journey is in Germany or to be reached via Germany
On the following motorways:
- A12 Inntalautobahn
- A13 Brennerautobahn
Furthermore, the above-mentioned vehicles will be banned from driving in both directions on Saturdays from 3 July 2021 up to and including 28 August 2021 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the following roads- Loferer Straße B178 von Lofer - Wörgl- Ennstal Straße B320 starting at road kilometre 4,500;- Seefelder Straße B177;- Fernpassstraße B179 Nassereith - Biberwier;- Achensee Straße B181.
The above-mentioned vehicles will also be banned from driving on the A 4 eastern motorway from the Schwechat junction to the Nickelsdorf state border in both directions on all Saturdays from 3 July 2021 up to and including 28 August 2021 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., with the exception of traffic to and from the districts of Neusiedl am See, Eisenstadt, Eisenstadt-Umgebung, Rust, Mattersburg, Bruck an der Leitha, Gänserndorf and Korneuburg.
