Abolition of the Requirement to Submit Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) under the Operation of NCTS – Phase 5
COMMUNICATION WITH MINISTRIES12 June 2025
The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) announces that, as of June 12, 2025, the new version of the Transit System (NCTS – Phase 5) will go into production. This new functionality enables the interface between the NCTS-5 system and the risk analysis and decision-making subsystem of ICISnet.
With the new version, the separate submission of Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) is no longer required. As a result, the processing time for customs formalities is significantly reduced, along with delays at the country's border customs offices.
The Entry Summary Declarations that were mandatorily submitted to the country’s border customs offices during the period from January 13, 2025, to today amounted to 9,600 per month.
It is estimated that approximately 400 economic operators and business associations will benefit from this development.
