Demonstrations in Germany: some traffic disruption expected in cities

During the week starting 8 January, a national strike and related local and regional demonstrations will be organised by groups protesting government spending cuts.

Some local transport operators will take part. The demonstrations will mostly take place in the centres of major cities. However, some traffic disruptions may occur beyond these major events, too.

On 15 January in particular, there will be a joint central demonstration in Berlin, between Brandenburger Tor and Siegessäule (Straße des 17. Juni, B2), with defined roads for access of the participating vehicles.
