Brexit - end of the transition period - French Customs information

Please find attached a note from French Customs (in English and French) which provides information on the procedure to be followed to avoid customs clearance for goods already on the move before the end of the transition period (the procedure is based on what has been laid down in the Withdrawal Agreement). Two elements are important:

• Proof of the start of the movement of the goods.
• Proof of the Union status of the goods

The note also indicates that there will be an interruption of French digital customs services between 22:30 on 31 December 2020 and 07:00 on 1 January 2021.

UK Customs also provides information on the procedure for goods in movement before the end of the transition period.
