Mandatory vignette to drive in Paris as of 16.01.2017
DRIVING RESTRICTIONS15 December 2016
As of Monday 16 January 2017, a vignette will be mandatory to drive in Paris.
This new scheme covers all vehicles registered in Europe (cars, coaches, trucks, vans, etc).
The vignette will be placed on the lower right side of vehicle window and will be mandatory for driving in Paris (entite city) from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 8 PM.
EURO III vehicles are still allowed in the city until 1 July 2017.
The absence of vignette can be subject to a fine (max. 135€). Enforcements and sanctions will start only a few weeks after the 16 January date to ensure that, in particular foreign transport operators have had the necessary time to obtain their vignettes.
To obtain the vignette, only the registration document of the vehicle will be needed. The vignette will cost 4.18€ and will be sent to applicants by post to the address indicated on the registration document of the vehicle.
