Athens-Thessaloniki National Highway is open for heavy vehicles up to 44 tons since 21st September, 06:00 am

Since 06:00 am this morning, Thursday 21st September, heavy vehicles up to 44 tons can drive on the Athens-Thessaloniki National Highway but only on the left lane in both directions, until the water recedes completely and the highway body and techniques are re-checked.

According to the traffic regulations, drivers of heavy vehicles are advised, for the convenience and safety of all drivers, to maintain a distance of 100 meters from the vehicle in front. Also all drivers are requested to adhere to the speed limit of 80 km and to follow the instructions of the Traffic Police.
