Bulgaria - traffic restrictions for vehiches over 20t

Today – 14 August 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. - due to the expected high temperatures above 35 degrees - the movement of trucks over 20 tons will be restricted on road sections in the regions of Ruse, Razgrad, Targovishte, Shumen, Veliko Tarnovo and Lovech, as follows:

In Ruse region - on I-2 Ruse - Razgrad road: from the exit of Ruse in direction  Razgrad (from km 12 to km 37), on I-5 Ruse - Veliko Tarnovo roa d: from the exit of Ruse (6th km) to 65th km; on I-5 road: from the city of Byala in direction Ruse to the city of Ruse.

In Shumen region – on "Hemus" motorway - from km 311 near Bukhovtsi to km 376 near Nevsha; on I-4 Targovishte - Shumen road - between Cherencha and  "Belokopitovo" road junction (from km 250 to km 258).

On the territories of Shumen and Razgrad regions - on I-2 Ruse - Shumen - Varna road, and in Shumen region - on I-7 Silistra - Shumen road.

In the regions of Veliko Tarnovo and Targovishte - on I-4 Sevlievo - Veliko Tarnovo - Targovishte road: between the villages of Novo Selo and Cherencha (from km 101 to km 250); on I-5 Polski Trumbesh - Veliko Tarnovo - Gabrovo road: from Polski Trumbesh to Debelets (from km 65 to km 115), on II-55 Debelets - Predela - Gurkovo road: from Debelets to Mishemorkov Khan village.

In Lovech region - on I-4 Koritna - Malinovo road: (from km 9 to km 69).

During the traffic restriction, HGVs will wait outside the roadway at designated locations without impeding other road users.

Exemptions: The restriction does not apply to vehicles transporting perishable food, temperature controlled goods, live animals and dangerous goods.
