Austria: Winter driving ban calendar A10 (Tauern motorway) 2024

The “Winterfahrverbotskalender” A10 Tauern motorway 2024 has been published.

It is a ban for heavy vehicles on the A10 (Tauernautobahn) on all Fridays from 26 January 2024 to 29 March 2024 inclusive, between 13:00 – 19:00:

• On the Villach motorway (southbound) between the Salzburg junction (A 10 junction from the A1 motorway) and the Pongau junction, if the destination of the journey is in Italy or Slovenia or is to be reached via Italy or Slovenia, and
• On the Salzburg motorway (northbound) between the Rennweg junction and the Golling junction, if the destination of the journey is in Germany or the Czech Republic, or is to be reached via Germany or the Czech Republic.

It is a ban for heavy vehicles on the A10 (Tauernautobahn) on all Saturdays from 27 January 2024 to 30 March 2024 inclusive, between 07:00 – 15:00:

• On the Villach motorway (southbound) between the Salzburg junction (A 10 junction from the A1 motorway) and the Pongau junction, and
• On the Salzburg motorway (northbound) between the Rennweg junction and the Golling junction

Vehicles concerned:
Lorries or articulated vehicles with a maximum gross vehicle weight of more than 7.5t, and lorries with trailers where the sum of the maximum gross vehicle weight of both vehicles is more than 7,5 t.
